The terroirs
The honey terroirs of Provence, from the Valensole plateau to the Maures forests
The vegetation changes every 300 metres. That is what makes six such different honeys possible within a few dozen kilometres: lavender honey from the plateaus, thyme and garrigue honey from the limestone hills, chestnut honey from the siliceous massifs, mountain honey from the Pre-Alps and forest honey from honeydew.

Why us
Raw, unprocessed, never pasteurised: what we require of every jar
Harvested in Provence
Hives set in Provence, with partner beekeepers we know. Never any imported honey.
Raw, never heated
Cold extraction, no pasteurisation, no blending, no added sugar: a pure, natural honey that keeps its fragrance and crystallises at its own pace.
Tasted at every harvest
We do not produce honey: we select it. If a year yields nothing, the honey is missing rather than replaced.
300 g glass jar
The right size to discover a terroir, to give, and to come back for. Shipped well wedged in a protective parcel from Aix-en-Provence.

Our story
A family miellerie in Aix-en-Provence: selectors, not a factory
Miellerie de Provence was founded in 2011 in Aix-en-Provence. For fifteen years, every year, we have tasted the harvests and chosen six honeys, not one more.
We would rather go without a honey for a year than replace it with honey from elsewhere.
Read our storyEvery day
Which honey, and when
Three moments, three honeys. Each card leads to the honey’s page.
Lavender honey
Gentle and floral, on toast, yoghurt or crêpes. Mountain honey, fruitier, is a close cousin.
Thyme honey
The winter honey, stirred in off the heat to keep its aromas.
Garrigue honey
Round, it holds up to cooking: glazed poultry, warm goat’s cheese, roast vegetables. Chestnut and forest for bolder dishes.
